Gay Marriage Bans in Three Southern States on Trial at U.S. Appeals Court

A U.S. federal appeals court this week will hear arguments on whether to strike down, or keep in place, same-sex marriage bans in three conservative southern states including Texas, the most populous state that does not allow gay couples to wed.
