Games For Your Wedding Reception

Many wedding receptions are the standard prototype, where we commence with the newlyweds to celebrate their marriage. This mainly consists of dancing and eating cake while we converse with friends and associates of the families.
But, your wedding day doesn’t have to be merely a social gathering – why not add sparks to the event with games you can play with everyone attending.
Allowing your guests to be involved would be an easy way to get people to engage with each other and become part of the wedding by doing so.
One game that your guests will be sure to enjoy, no matter what age group, is musical chairs using he guys as the chairs. The men form a line and kneel down on one knee. The ladies begin playing the game of musical chairs, but when the music stops, they must find a knee to sit on. No "chairs" are removed during this version of the game, rather people are eliminated when one of two things happen. Either the man falls down when the woman finds his knee or the woman falls down. Both are out either way, and if both fall down, they are also both out then (as well as perhaps a bit bruised). This is a fun game that often brings on gales of laughter and adds to a relaxed reception atmosphere.
Games for your wedding

The game of MC. With this game, a master associated with ceremonies is designated (this can be the DJ for your wedding if you have one). The actual MC will have a list of "desires" prepared before the wedding reception. Everyone awaits the MC’s command as they sit at their tables. The MC may say something like he loves a person with open toe high heels on. All of the women with open toe high heels on run to the front of the stage, where the MC is located. Whoever gets to the stage first gets a stage or point.
There should be a point system in place over the course of this game where prizes, and awards are given out to the winners at the conclusion of the game. Make sure to have some obvious "desires", such as the open toe high heels, a man with a beard, or a woman with blonde hair. Put some spins on it, such as "a man with a black purse" , so a man would have to find a woman at his table with a black purse and charge to the front of the room with it.
Another game of MC. If your guests are coming from a far distance to the wedding or don't know many other people, it's always fun to include a game that will allow them to not only get to know one another, but also meet the bride and groom as well. For this game, you'll also need a MC, which can be a very outgoing member of the wedding party or the DJ. The reception guests are broken into two groups, which can be as simple as having people count off "1, 2, 1, 2" and so on until the entire guest list is either a "1" or a "2". Then the two groups band together for the duration of the game.
The DJ, or MC, presents a list of questions focusing around the newlywed couple. The teams should work together to answer the questions, then give answers quickly as possible. The bride and groom will verify if the answer is correct or not. This is a great way for otherwise "stranger" guests to get to know one another and have some fun in the process. It's also an excellent way to get to know the bride and groom!
Getting your guests to participate in games can be a fantastic way to get the ball rolling at your wedding reception and allow people to fill like they are involved in your wedding. Whether you need small wedding ideas or large wedding ideas, games that engages everyone will work in either case.
Do not assume wedding reception guests will be offended or annoyed by your active games. People generally respond to wedding planners who are more enticing with an enthusiastic approach to have a great ceremony. Remember the ultimate goal is to provide an opportunity of enjoyment that will last a lifetime.
